Potential Impact While most of the hiring gains are not large increases, they still represent a bright spot for the industry as it's been struggling to find and retain labor. The lack of any large gains is likely because of the declines seen in projects and contract values, but the fact that contractors continue to hire at all should be taken as a positive sign. Interestingly, the hiring stats were fairly even across verticals and regions, suggesting that no one hired more or less than the other and that challenges remain ubiquitous across the country.
