CASE STUDY
WAVE BROADBAND
VITAL DATA AND INSIGHT FROM B2W ESTIMATE REPORTING
Producing winning bids is not the only reason to adopt B2W Estimate. Improved
reporting and access to bid data to guide business decisions were equally
important reasons why Wave Broadband switched from spreadsheets. The
decision paid for itself as soon as the software went live, according to Tony
Ihlen, director of fiber construction design at the company.
"We can feed data seamlessly from B2W Estimate to Tableau, our reporting
system, providing executives with much better visibility and insight into our
activities," he explains. "We even eliminated a $40,000-per-year administrative
position that was previously required for entering data into spreadsheets for
our reporting systems."
Wave Broadband clients range from residential and apartment complexes
to businesses, hospitals and universities. Cell service providers also account
for a large portion of the work. While some of the projects are small, estimates
for large networks for these cell carriers, for example, can be very large
and complex.
Wave Broadband extracts data seamlessly from B2W Estimate to its Tableau reporting system,
eliminating redundant data entry and allowing a deeper analysis of what is selling and how projects
are performing against the bids.
