Location COLORADO, USA BUSINESS CHALLENGE: JE Dunn Construction was looking to improve management of field activity and enhance coordination of combined crews of JE Dunn staff and trade partners working on Trimble's Phase 2 Westminster building. SOLUTION: With around 140 team members using Trimble ProjectSight, JE Dunn is providing authorized parties with real-time access to the most current plans and documentation, as well as a central platform for communications between the field and office. RESULTS: ► Adding greater context to communication- Stakeholders can markup 2D drawings and 3D BIM files within Trimble ProjectSight to record notes, ask questions, submit RFIs and resolve issues. ► Real-time communication– Trade partners can communicate in real-time within Trimble ProjectSight's built-in messaging app with push-notifications for speedy resolution. The real-time speed of communication greatly accelerates management and execution of RFIs or change orders. ► Smarter project tracking- Because all project documentation is accessed and shared directly in Trimble ProjectSight, it's much easier to capture and manage models, plans and project communications. JE Dunn Construction is the general contractor for Trimble's new 118,000 square foot facility, located in Westminster, Colorado just northwest of Denver. The new building represents Phase 2 of Trimble's largest employment center. Once complete in late 2018, the new building will accommodate approximately 650 employees. Looking to enhance communication and synchronization among all stakeholders of the project, JE Dunn adopted Trimble ProjectSight, a cloud-based solution for field management that simplifies the creation, access and sharing of project information between the field and the office. Offered as a subscription service, Trimble ProjectSight leverages the Trimble Connect collaboration environment enabling teams to access, manage and analyze project files and data in real-time, increasing collaboration between users across the complete design-build-operate lifecycle. Single source for current project documentation and drawings Lendi Boyle, senior project coordinator for JE Dunn Construction, began the transition to Trimble ProjectSight by training about 140 combined team members on the project. On the JE Dunn team, everyone foreman-level and above was instructed to use Trimble ProjectSight regularly. Boyle reports, "Team members found the application easy-to-use and fast-to-learn – they particularly liked that the information is so accessible for mobile workers." Boyle believes that by providing access to centralized project data in Trimble ProjectSight, users are making better decisions because they have access to the most up-to-date information without having to search and sift through emails, TRANSFORMING THE WAY THE WORLD WORKS
