ALAN'S EXCAVATING
"The software allows me to bid twice as many projects as an estimator who
is using spreadsheets," says Mike Hoffman, estimator at Alan's Excavating, in

Alan's is headquartered in Augusta, Kansas and has provided commercial
and municipal site grading and preparation services as well as water
and sewer work to the central Kansas area since 1979. Hoffman came
on board from a very large company right around the same time that
Alan's implemented B2W Estimate. He had used the specialized software
for estimating and bidding at his previous company and was happy to
continue working with it.
"The customer service, technical support, and B2W reporting capabilities
are the best, and I really like the Microsoft SQL Server database platform,"
Hoffman explains. "I bid the majority of our work, and I am able to put
together a lot of estimates quickly and effectively with B2W. The check
estimate wizard and various reports make it very easy to check your work,
to make sure you haven't left anything out or done something you didn't
mean to. One caught mistake in materials can more than pay for the cost
of the software many times over."
