What it is:
Construc ble data is building system informa on that bridges the gaps between office, field, and
factory, enabling greater collabora on and connec on among teams. While 3D BIM data is the
backbone of a construc ble process, construc ble data also includes financial, procurement, logis cal,
geospa al, and part- and material-based informa on to create a comprehensive and current view of a
construc on project.
Why it's important:

Data integra on is central to the moderniza on of construc on processes, and it's cri cal to the
design, specifica on, and delivery of building systems and construc on work. The goal is to get
construc ble data early in the project—at the same cost or at a lower cost than tradi onal processes—
to build confidence in it among your teams and drive downstream value and efficiencies.
